The Orphans of Zambia School in Lusaka, Zambia has been struggling to power their bakery ovens after a drought caused the city to ration electricity.
Thanks to your support, and the generous support of the Morris Family Foundation, the school now has a brand new generator. The generator will allow the school’s bakers to keep baking and selling loaves of bread to finance the school and benefit its students.
We couldn’t have done this without your help! As a thank-you gift, we are sharing a recipe for whole wheat bread from Maketto pastry chef Erica Skolnik. Erica taught this recipe while training the bakers in Zambia.
