Today and every day, we celebrate the army of over 20,000 chefs and volunteers who have spearheaded our efforts to feed Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria. Meet one of the key leaders of the #ChefsForPuertoRico movement!
What have you learned from your time with #ChefsForPuertoRico?
That helping others is not a selfless act. On the contrary, helping others is a lot about helping yourself find a sense of purpose and achieve happiness.
What’s one thing you want people to know about Puerto Rico?
We are open for business and ready to take your order! We love to serve and welcome everyone into our beautiful friendly island.
Share one of your favorite memories from the past few months working with the #ChefsForPuertoRico team.
Every morning at El Choliseo, over 10 food trucks loaded an average of 1,500 meals each to be distributed around the island. The energy was overwhelming. I’ll also never forget when when we reached 100,000 meals in one day!
What are your plans for the future?
To continue growing my food trucks with more locations and products, and opening a new restaurant. I’d also love to continue to work with World Central Kitchen and be able to help in any way I can including using my experience in disaster relief wherever is needed.
