During José Andrés’ Thanksgiving trip to Haiti, a visit to our second World Central Kitchen culinary class revealed something unexpected.
“José was smiling from ear to ear when he saw the students’ knife skills… he saw that they were handling their knives like professionals less than halfway through the course.” – Agustin Ferrer, WCK Haiti Representative
The culinary class of sixteen students donned their World Central Kitchen chef coats and suited up to show off their skills to Chef José Andrés. As José made the rounds, he offered advice and encouragement to Haiti’s future chefs.
“Practice often and be a continual students… If you want to learn, there is plenty of opportunity here in Haiti” – Chef José Andrés
