The brand-new HAITI BREATHES campaign addresses a serious global health issue facing many developing nations. Each year, 4 million people die around the world from complications associated with cooking using charcoal and wood. To address this problem, World Central Kitchen and its partners, USAID, Chemonics and Switch Haiti, aim to convert 800 schools in Port au Prince and surrounding areas from charcoal to liquid petroleum gas (LPG).
YOU can help World Central Kitchen support the conversion and food safety and sanitation training of schools in the Port au Prince area through your donation. Our target goal of $10,000 provides schools with equipment, training and a supply of LPG that will radically change the way Haiti breathes.
Even more – EVERY DOLLAR YOU DONATE IS MATCHED BY AN ANONYMOUS DONOR.
