To increase fish yield in the fishing town of Jacmel, Haiti, World Central Kitchen provided fishermen with new fishing boats and processing equipment.

With the new equipment, the fishermen have caught 4 times the amount of fish compared to the previous year. Additionally, World Central Kitchen invested in the renovations of a processing facility equipped with a HACCP plan in order to safely process and sell the fish.

Through these investments, the fishermen have increased their income by 400% and are reinvesting in their children’s education.
