From the backs of pickup trucks in Ponce to the massive Coliseo in San Juan, José and his army of chefs have one mission in mind: feed the many. With the help of donated food, support from our donors, and dozens of volunteers, World Central Kitchen has now helped serve over 100,000 meals to residents of Puerto Rico impacted by Hurricane Maria.
Over the next 21 days, our goal is to serve at least 20,000 meals per day in eight kitchens around the country. These meals will provide families, hospitals, and elderly homes who have limited access to food or water with the support they need as the island begins to rebuild.
To support our continued efforts, donate online and share our work on social media with the hashtag #ChefsForPuertoRico. As José said, “we have big dreams because people have big needs.” Thank you for helping us support our friends in Puerto Rico!
