Last night, 4,000 guests descended upon Penn Quarter and 14th Street for World Central Kitchen’s signature event, Dine-N-Dash, presented by Chef José Andrés, Andrew Zimmern, and Dana Cowin. Over 37 of DC’s best restaurants participated in the event, where guests enjoyed unlimited bites and drinks while dashing their way between restaurants.
The highlight of the night, Puerto Rico House, was a four-floor pop-up exhibit and restaurant celebrating #ChefsForPuertoRico and the story of World Central Kitchen’s operations there. Notable features included a giant floor map showcasing feeding operations, a replica of Miramar Food Truck park, which was key to our operations, a virtual reality experience of Puerto Rico, and of course, food from the chefs behind our Puerto Rican relief efforts.
Guests then spent the evening drinking and dining their way through Penn Quarter and 14th Street, and ended the night at a special VIP afterparty presented by MGM National Harbor. After Dine-N-Dash’s biggest year yet, over $600,000 was raised to support World Central Kitchen’s ongoing relief and empowerment projects.
Thank you to all of our sponsors, restaurants, and guests for making this evening such an incredible celebration of World Central Kitchen and our #ChefsForPuertoRico. Check out more of our favorite photos below!
