José Andrés and World Central Kitchen are thrilled to announce the launch of the Chef Network, a network of 50+ top chefs from DC and around the world. These chefs have committed to working with WCK to help support smart solutions to hunger and poverty and to change the world through the eyes of a chef.
Profiles of each of the participating chefs – including Jose’s Front Line Chefs like Mario Batali, Anthony Bourdain, Tom Colicchio, Carla Hall, Spike Mendelsohn, and Andrew Zimmern – can be found on the Chef Network online portal.
I believe chefs have a unique opportunity to influence how people think about our food system both here at home and around the world. I’m really honored that this group of talented chefs have agreed to offer their expertise to support World Central Kitchen and help create sustainable food economies in communities around the world.
This impressive team will be visiting our programs on the ground in Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Africa and Latin America to help improve health, empower communities, and create jobs. These chefs will be using their unique culinary perspective and expertise to feed communities, design culinary curriculums, build smart kitchens, and lead trainings on food safety and sanitation in communities around the world.
